Appartments
These apartments are by the daycare center my parents sent me too when I was little. I decided to take a picture of these apartments because when I went to that daycare center, my best friend at the time lived in them and everyday after the daycare center let out, we would run over to his house and hang out. I kind of have a personal connection to them because my friend moved away in the middle of third grade. |
Barn
There is an abandoned barn sitting at the corner of Pontiac and Dhu Varren that has been there for years. I’ve only ever seen it from the road and have always wondered what’s inside. There are two smaller buildings around it, an empty outhouse and an old garage, that I didn’t dare try to enter. The inside was just filled with debris and the walls were covered in graffiti that said stuff like “I wish the pain hurt you, too”. It wasn’t as interesting or cool as I thought it would be. |
Blinding Light
This is a photo of the roof of the barn as seen from inside. There were two empty panels in it that were covered with slabs of fiberglass. When I looked through the viewfinder, I noticed that the camera took more time than usual to adjust to the light coming through, and thought that it would make for a cool picture. It was kind of hard to get a good angle for this photo, so I ended up having to climb onto the railing of the stairs, which was creaking a lot and making unfriendly noises. |
